Yetiman is probably the guy with the most experience around you, I dunno how available his workspace is though. I bet Dann B and the other leaders of the Los Angelopes crew would be more than willing to help you out.

Why don't you wait for a
bike build day?
I'd love to help, but have neither the proper equipment nor the time. I can, however, offer my advice. You should post sketches or schematics of what you have in mind here in the thread.

Contact info for who?
Keep in mind that when building any sort of freakbike, especially for the first time, there is A LOT of trial-and-error. Your best option would be to do the project at some sort of bike shop or bike co-op, to ensure the healthy supply of materials you might need.
(My tall bike originally had a derailleur jockey wheel attached to it because the chain was rubbing the frame in a certain place.)
My point: expect the project to take longer than a few days, unless your industrious, well-planned and have the time. Also, freak bikes are a living project. Meaning: I don't know of a single Angelope that has worked correctly from the beginning, all the time.

We haven't had one for a while. Since before I stopped volunteering for the BRW.
During the last couple that we hosted at the BRW, turnout was pretty low. If there is enough interest, I'm sure we can get something going again.
