Explore some of LA's darkest nether regions and behold the haunted unmentionables within. Join the rogues for a very special night of fun for the whole family!

Meet at CRANKmob Park, this Saturday at 6pm.

Here's a longshot: anyone have any friends at the LA Youth Athletic Club or the Bilingual Foundation for the Arts that can leave a door open for us at the jail? No clear open entrances at night, perhaps not surprisingly...relatively easy to break in, but then so is shoplifting - don't exactly make it legal. LA river access from the back is blocked by the railroad.

The route wasn't exactly planned to be a history lesson and the places and facts are pretty well known, but it's nice to be reminded that more than just movies happened here.

At the Air Terminal:

Amelia Earhart bought her first plane there and raced in an event at the airport's opening.

Lindbergh flew the first scheduled coast-to-coast flights from there and formed TWA

Howard Hughes started Hughes Aviation there and built his H-1 speed record plane.

Curtiss-Wright engines used in Doolittle's raid on Tokyo were rebuilt there before the mission

The jail was the scene of Bloody Christmas (seen in the movie LA Confidential) and Al Capone stayed for a night after they arrested him at Union Station for tax evasion.

Just got back home from this ride. I didn't do the whole route but this ride is awesome. Great people on this ride and a great route. Had fun at the old la zoo. Will be attending the future Rogue Rides .

zoo was awesome, jail was creepy as hell, and it was enough riding to feel like i actually got a bit of exercise. woo.
