Dunno if anybody's posted about this already, but I'm thinking of going to Levi Leipheimer's gran fondo in norcal (oct 3).
It's basically a big ride and throughout some really pretty scenery in sonoma valley. There will be support vehicles, food, and event booths like a big race but it's intended more as a social ride with some friendly competition at designated parts of the route. I think there will be prizes for riders that perform well too.
Anyway, the website lists that on-site camping space for the night before the ride for $35 per 4-person campsite. Just thought I'd see if there was any interest in a ridazz camp up north. Anyone?

It's a challenging route for sure. My brother rode it a couple months back, and I drove it a few weeks ago; it's very scenic with lots of hills. It even goes through some open pasture land where the cows come out to hang wicha.
It should be a good time. Enjoy.

I'll probably head up there a day early and come back the next day.
Registration for the full 105 version of the route was closed for a while but it just re-opened and it's $90 for the next week.

well as far as registering with a usac club goes, I don't feel like going to the trouble of getting up at the asscrack of dawn every time I train so it ain't happenin. I just registered for the 105mi route with the club name ROOT RUN. Let's see what happens if we get 10 of us to register with that club? It's on my registration confirmation at least.
