I need to build a wheel now that I have my hub and rim. Is there anybody on the West Side or Central LA that you recommend I have build my wheel?

dude i can build you them u can build them with u im building a new wheel this week im building a 650c velocity deep v with a iro hub this will be the 3 set of wheels i build if ur down hit me up

I would do it myself but I want this one to come out well done. I've got an extra wheel at home that needs new spokes, so if I ever need it I will most likely try to do that one myself.

did you really think buying the rim the hub and spoke separately would save you money if you dont build it yourself?

I built a wheel at the Bike Kitchen.
It was pretty cheap .. they charge $1 a spoke ... the stand time is another story. It took me about 6-8 hours before it was ridable. I had a membership tho, so that part was free.
I was very rewarding and not super
difficult.
I think anybody with some patience/ time can do it.

Buy some spokes and do it yourself at one of the co-ops.
It's a really cool thing to have done, and it's not particularly difficult, just time consuming.
