I stayed home tonight because I'm being a bum, and now I've planned myself a lil trip to Oceanside for the coming Labor Day weekend which will include a ride from SAN DIEGO to THE BORDER.

Haven't set the ride date in stone yet, but I'll have more info coming tomorrow (Sunday the 26th). I'm thinking Sunday Sept. 2nd starting around 11am from San Diego's Old Town Transit Center.

Just under 24 miles and includes the Silver Strand bike path which seems to be a really awesome stretch to ride on. We'll be rewarded with some tacos and beer on the other side of the border. If you're too tired or drunk to ride back from the border to the Old Town Transit Center, then take the Trolley for a couple bucks or less.

Bring locks, cables, cash, ID, Green Card, bribe money, spanish dictionary, tubes, pump, a friend, your wits, your bike, and your party face.

How do I get to the Old Town Transit Center????
Take the Amtrak and it'll drop you off right there, or you could drive too.

I have a limited amount of space, so if some ridazz wanna crash in Oceanside Sunday night, then let me know. rchavez80 at yahoo dawt calmmmmmmm.

I know there are some ridazz that come to LA from San Diego, and I'd really like to see you guys there!! San Diegooooooooooo!!!!!!!

Looks like there will be a change in the route already. Bikes are not allowed on the Coronado Bridge, so we'll probably be taking a boat ride to get to the Silver Strand portion of the ride.
