Lone Wolf spotting

As followers of BikeSnobNYC will know, the Lone Wolf is a mythical man-beast that
rides a Lotus with platform pedals and lives in the NYC area. So it's pretty surprising to have spotted him rolling down Broadway in Santa Monica and seeing him pop into the Performance on the corner of 5th. Here is some proof that he has deigned to visit our land of palm trees and sun:
The bike he was sporting today was a bit of a monstrosity, but has not gone undocumented in the past, and in any case befits a rider of such nobility:
That's all I got. The performance mechanic thought I was a creep because I guess my acting job of trying to seem like I was interested in trainers while furiously texting in the Lone Wolf's general direction wasn't very convincing. Also from what I could hear of their conversation it seemed that the LW has a history with the mechanic, so I bet I was not the first one noticed to be trailing the magnificent creature.
Please, if you see him, enjoy from a distance. His desire for anonymity, although fairly ironic given his choice of steed, is well known.

I saw his bike parked in Santa Monica recently. Note the Radio Shack hiring sign in the background here. Consider that Lance Armstrong is starting a new American pro cycling team with Radio Shack as a title sponsor next season. Coincidence, I think not. I've already had a discussion with Mr. Bike Snob about this, expect a post on this topic coming soon.

Oh and by the way the Lone Wolf does not live in NYC. His photos on BikeSnob NYC all come from LA readers, and he has been spotted at many SoCal cycling events and places. He was at the Tour of California when it came into Pasadena. One of his recent appearances on the BikeSnob blog was him watching track racing at the ADT Velodrome in Carson.

I see this guy a lot down near the Venice boardwalk, and he also spectates at ADT occasionally. Don't make fun of him.
The pics on BSNYC of him on his Lotus were taken at the ToC in Pasadena.
He seems like an interesting person, we should get him on a ride....

As odd as it may sound, we've actually got somebody like that up here in the desert.
He's an elderly dude that wears a safety-gear adorned, 10gallon hat and rides a three-wheeled cruiser.
Although, the last time I saw him was back in '06, prior to that he was everywhere up here.

OY! This guy lives in L.A. some place..near Helen's in SM I think...he is a crack pot who struts up and down and through Helen's with his bikes. That bike with the plastic water bottles on the back is "funny" as in...not so much. Do not engage...he will talk your ear off!

I guess I'm not that as hot as I thought I was. Damn. I wonder if he ever actually drinks anything from that outcropping of water bottles, or are they just for show, like candy canes on a christmas tree?
@Gary: nice pic, it highlights well the fucking epic (although oddly flaccid) seatpost.
@richbell: since when is stalking anything but flattery?

why did I think he lived in NYC... I think it was because of a comment in
this post, but I guess that usage was a generalization of the term (lone wolf as opposed to Lone Wolf).
