road trip

So the word came down from the once mighty gods of American industry.
The positively absolutely LAST day of work at the plant is August 7th, hear that workers?! You just get these last 2 orders out and git on down the road.
So then I gotta get my benes on-line, food stamps and unemployment.
then I'm hitting the road in the Dodge van.
I'm thinking SF as a final destination, with stops in maybe Death Valley, the blue rock hot spring, in the Saline Valley, Ojai, and then that big huge hill on the 33 just south of McKittrick. I always wanted to roll down that on a bicycle. Plus you roll into McKittrick and there's the worlds best chili dog stand on Main St.
Who wants to do a road trip?
Also I gotta downsize my storage so I got all these vintage bike parts I got to sell or give away. I got a 1919 Excelsior Messenger Special, I got a bunch of Nottingham Raleigh stuff, Sturmey Archer, fender stays, racks, a Mongoose 'Little Indy' 50th anniversary one speed, a whole load of shimano and suntour componentry plus loads of wheels, mostly 700 size. Frames and whatnot.
