Questions about LATTC

So, as an alternative trucking and not wanting to pursue something that would get me involved with management, I noticed this place has an actual degree program for Diesel Technology.
Working on engines and turning wrenches on anything seems to be something I pick up quick and after watching these Ice Road shows, these heavy truck techs and mechanics are treated like Gods.

So, how's the overall quality and learning environment of the college?
Anything I should be aware of?
