A compact aluminum framed non-track fixie retailing for $799.99?
I think I'd take two Kilo TTs and a few cases of PBR.

jb, you forgot to mention bubblegum welds and tiny chainring.

but not every frame with horizontal dropouts is a "fixie". if that was the case, then bmx bikes would be. feel free to make a joke about barspins and whatever else.

One of the better looking city Langsters.
Not that that's saying much.

needs to be dodger blue. PASS
they should do a complete build of the steel langster.

Specialized has been making the langster for years now and never a LA bike. Now, they have one and it looks like that?! WTF!

I agree.
I have a 2007 Langster, but it's a non-themed, rust-colored one.

I'll agree, looks like a cheapie someone threw together in their garage then slapped a hefty, price tag onto it.
Definitely man-steak smothered in weak-sauce.

Oh, total weak sauce. How are you supposed to ride the thing with no pedals?

Well the stripes are for the slate/clapper used before/after takes on a movie set. I guess they were going for a Hollywood themed bike for LA, but I would think a bike tagged up with some nice graffiti would have been a better choice.

It should not have the movie theme. Or at least if they're gonna go with that, put some negatives on there and some chalk writing for the clapboard.
petzljake06.28.09 - 7:47 pm

LA is too diverse to be captured in just one theme. but thanks for trying, it's about time.

a slate used after a take? maybe if they fucked up and forgot to put it in there at the beginning.

Yeah, it's called a tail slate if you forget to slate the before the take. Just hold the slate upside down.

Damn that thing is so toy looking, what a piece of garbage with some nice parts. For 8 large its a waste of money. Id take that new schwinn cutter and upgrade it over this any day. It probably rides great but it really does look stupid.

what if they had like a blue/white/grey colorway with the dodgers LA logo on the head tube.
that would be pretty cool.
KiMS106.29.09 - 3:41 pm

Did you just use the term colorway unironically?

okay...that's a fairly good fixie....not a track bike, but well, this shit just got so popular.
Not as good as my California Masi or my '07 De Rosa, but it doesn't have gears...so they don't compare.
If you want to find a bike that is way better that yours...talk to PC. He has one.
hahahhahaaaaaaaaaaaa.

Wonder if the guy who designed this in his plush Morgan Hills office has ever done a Wolfpack or Bicykillers???
Where are the lights? Obviously they don't know about the LAPD.
ADVISE: Make your own Los Angeles edition.
It would be cool if they only made a few for their LA dealers only. Too bad these will be all over the country sold to some Jimmie Johnson fan in North Carolina. I wonder how many will be made? Limited for SpecialEdz would be up in the thousands I would assume.
