Friday April 11th-
Blade Runner Alleycat 7pm 4th and Flower. This is going to be amazing, so you should really check it out.
Opening party starts at 9PM at Basswerks 5411 W. Adams Goldsprint qualifiers start as soon as people start showing up. Semi-finals will start at 11pm NO MATTER WHAT!
$5 entry, free beer sponsored by New Belgium
Saturday April 12th 12PM at Encino Velodrome. We'll find out who is the fastest male and female messengers, and city bikers. Top male and female messenger goes to Cycle Messenger World Championships in Toronto.
9PM After party at Barcade 371 N Western.
We'll be doing awards here for the track events.
Sunday April 12th 2PM-8PM
Heliotrope Village Block Party
Track events, polo, ice cream, beer, and debauchery.
The Bicycle Kitchen will be a part of a really dope raffle including a vintage Falcon Track frame with a full Campy set up. All raffle proceeds will benefit the Bicycle Kitchen.

Yo, I'm hella stoked on the Velo tour.. i have one question is the beer at Basswerx gunna be free for real ,or is there guna be a charge! I'm perparing ahead of time..

beer really is free, just make sure you have an ID as New Belgium will be there checking up on us.
The $5 entry fee is basically your ticket for free beers.

New Ethic will also be giving away free positivity for the
straight edge ride that ends here. Also covered by your entrance fee. Bring your X's cause they'll be there checking up on us.

The tickets to Toronto can only be won by messengers. City bikers get cool stuff. Maybe not as cool as going to Toronto, but it is meant to send the fastest messengers from the US to Cycle Messenger World Championships.

hah!
they used to play marathons of it and snl on comedy central in like 1992. i watched it more than beavis and butthead or whatever i was supposed to be enjoying when i was seven. brain candy was also appreciated, although not at that young of an age.

unfortunately, we weren't able to find a free space for the party, and we are already several hundred dollars in the hole on this event. $5 is the only thing we are charging the entire weekend as far as entry goes, and it's pretty minimal. if you don't drink beer, don't worry, we don't have a sponsor, but we are bringing other drinks as well.

Heliotrope closed to cars from 2-8 on Sunday is AMAZING. It's worth coming out just to take that in.
