Have you guys ever met anyone else in as many bike gangs as Mateo?
Have you ever seen anyone wear a bunny suite as well as him? (Other then Borfo of corse, but Borfo is next level)
Have you heard his freestyle rap sing?
He is always awesome, always entertaining and always calls out turns on rides.
It is unanimous.

Where do you live? Where have you lived?
I grew up in the northern part of LA, between Pasadena and Glendale. Lived in Berkeley, then Highland Park, then Mexico City, then Northridge. Right now I live in Inglewood, at a community live/work space devoted to building things, making art, and aggravating people. My dad grew up in this neighborhood back when it was filled with white people.
Bikes, Whips, Transportation:
I get nervous if I don't have a solid 10-speed ready to take me across the city if need be. I love my slightly-too-big-for-me Univega. I plan to replace it soon with a beautiful old Raleigh frame that Reverend Mook gave me. Once I get that bike running I'm going to cut the Univega up and glue my other Raleigh, (the one that I got hit-and-runned on) on top of it.
Fun, Hobbies, Interests:
I like to do music stuff. I like to read classic literature. (What books are you reading thread!)
How do you make money? What do you do with it?
Lately I've been doing some freelance percussion stuff. I started a record label. I'll let you know when I'm super rich. Beers on me.
Schooling, Abilities, Tools:
BA in Philosophy from UC Berkeley. BA in Music from CSU Northridge. I'm good at everything.
What rides do you do?
2nd Friday. I'd do Spoke(n)Art every month too, but I am lazy and stupid.
Favorite Ridazz Moments:
Riding down Broadway on my first ride, The Dead Theater Ride, with a few hundred strangers.
Getting run over by Dingo.
Drinking wine in Josef's garage.
Riding over Sepulveda in the rain with Wolfpack.

Riding on the 110. ("Tren Way, you can suck it!")
Not being on rides for most of 2008-2009 (anti-favorite)

Just about every time I've stopped to help someone with a mechanical issue.
The last 2nd Friday ride. All of it.
