This ride was before I came to know MR , but it looks very good and a lot of spotlights mention it should make a comeback.
So Why not?
What are some of your favorite memories of this ride?
Who led it?
Please share thoughts on this ride!

RIDE-Arc is a monthly social bicycle ride in the cool evening air with a referenced Architectural theme, mixed with some Urban Anthropology, and your own personal sense of adventure and discovery. Wonderful rides, good vibes taking you to places that shape the Los Angeles urban landscape.
my personal take on it:
one of the best non party rides i'd ever been on. A sci arc student, Alex led the rides around L.A. and adjacent parts of town teaching us about the areas around us and the history. My favorites were the history of blacks in los angeles and the history of the rail systems in l.a.
never used a megaphone, no music, brisk paced, some hills here and there.....
when i started riding in groups, SMCM was still happening and we'd go to SMCM and then jet over to the start point of Ride Arc.
I had really great times on it.

Better yet.... knowledge yourself. Go to a library and find some architectural books in Los Angeles or one of those fancy books about secret history in Los Angeles, and let us know what got.
Do your homework, and plan a ride. Let us know what you got to share. Make friends, give me a dollar, and we can't wait for that come back.

well alex is still around but i think he works mostly with LACBC now, RIDE-Arc is probably ancient history for him
i know that the ride is still basically associated with him but the only way this would happen is if somebody else organized something

Alex is the shit--even though he favors the spandex and weight weenie bikes way more than I do. And yes, he's a tireless bike advocate on the LACBC board--working to make things better for you and me.
I'll bet he wouldn't mind anyone with an interest in the urban landscape and how people, architecture, design, and life come together to form the places we live and ride rekindling that concept for new rides.
His March 6th ride, noted above, also looks awesome--it's a metric century and will likely be nicely paced with some hills.
