DC RIDAZZ?

So I moved out here to DC in December, couldnt ride for these few months cause of the 3 ft snow and freezing weather that we had but now it is time to clear the dust from my bike and get out and ride.
But I want to have fellow ridazz out here and run my own ride. Any one know of any sites or info about if there are fellow ridazz out on the east coast?

yo im from the dc area and no there isnt to my intel. but i know plenty of heads that would like to but there more so in the Annapolis area. i visit in june if nothing has started. i would love to help

Man there is a lot of people from DC on MR .. Im from DC , my roommate and I have met others ... I would love to ride with people 4sure when I go in June ...

I'm planning on driving to NYC sometime around this time to help family move out there... Maybe if we sync up I can ride back wif u guys?!?!? I'd totally help $ wise or beer wise ;)

I grew up in Herdon, VA... about 20 mins south of DC. I have family there still. If you establish something I'll let them know and maybe they'll want to join. Definitely should hit up Adam's Morgan.

Awesome! How are you getting there? Do you know the dates yet? I just know I'll be driving there in early July, but the people I'm driving there are staying there so..... Yah this plan isn't thought out so well. But I'll be there dammit! :)

Im debating if I want to drive because its 4 hours but at the same time state troopers are no joke on speeding on the east coast .. So i dont know I might just fly since its only two days ..

Let's get this rollin'! I am definite going back home around then. Might fly out there and drive back.. or vice versa. or both. Seeing who has a car and willing to drive. We'ill help out driving with gas, beer, weed, etc I want to drive cross country.
Planning on visiting Philly and NYC there also.. but July 4th in DC is definite.

I don't know. Never rode first class so I can't say.
But I'd rather drive with a bunch of people cross country for a week having a good time, taking in the sights of this beautiful country sides and having a blast with some friends rather then sitting in a nice comfortable seat for 7 hours watching a DVD or listening to music. Cross country with some ridazz seems more enjoyable and you'll have memories from that trip to last a lifetime.

so it seems like people will be out here around late june early july...i would want to know for sure so i can plan a route and all that snazz...so if any of you can let me know FOR SURE dates on when you would be out here i can commit to a ride date, time and route.
I was thinking of doing a "night at the museum" ride. sort of hitting up all the landmarks and shizz but that would depend on what others think, timing as wells as accesibiliity.

What an awesome idea!! I have never bike back home especially around DC landmarks!
I'll be there for sure between June 24 - July 6. Anywhere between those dates are fine for me.

I'll be flying from Lagos to DC before June 30th until after July 4th for work.
I gotta present to a bunch of doctors, but, yea, in the free time I'm totally down to meet up!
Is it easy to get a bike for 2 weeks over there?

there are places that do rent bikes. im not sure what the time restraints are on when you'd have to return. you might want to look that up.
but in the meant time, here is the bike laws for the DMV area...not much different then every where else

i think this could be a good gift for a sibling, family member or friend you want to get riding with you. the components i feel can be all stripped. but then buying all new components would probably be better to buy a new bike with all those components ready.
the crank set looks like it would fold into a quesadilla if you tried to do a basic track stand. the chain gaurd. well thats self explanitory. the seat post and saddle look, well its aesthetically not pleasing and im sure equally as uncomfortable.
i want to take it for a test ride to get an idea of how it rides. maybe the frame is good enough to use with everythin being replaced over time.
the guy who wrote the review makes a good point, someone who is an avid rider who uses pro-quality components will rip the bike apart. but we have to remember the bike isnt made for pros. its made for people who want to get into cycling, and the Cachet could be the catalist. who knows.

Just got the news that my trip to DC is pretty much firmed up. Wednesday we iron out the details.
$150 for a bicycle that I am just going to donate after 5 days of light use isn't a bad idea. Thanks for the heads up. I'm not looking to mash-out, or perform, just get the wind in my hair and actually be able to bicycle again!
I want pizza and beer though, so please! One night of pizza and beer!

it definitely wont be a critical mass. well i dont think it would be that big. plus im not sure how Metro police would accept a mass amount of riders. police out here seem a little more up tight haha.
also this will be in the Washington DC.
as for everyone else. is there any solid confirmation on when you guys would be in the area?
