this will not work. there is too much torque going on to put a device like that on a fixed drive train.

if you're talking about a SS tensioner that bolts onto the derailleur hanger, then no. if you're talking about the kind for bmx bikes, then yes.

Nope.

If you've got horizontal dropouts on your frame, it's easy to go fixed by adjusting where the rear wheel is in the dropout.

If you've got vertical dropouts, you either have to drop a ton of money on a wheel with an eccentric hub, or you have to go with singlespeed (with a chain tensioner or a lucky combo of chainring and cog), where chain tension isn't as critical.

What are you trying to do exactly?
