we have seen a few crazy fire department employees. Remember that firefighter a few months back that killed the puppy?

Oh then this firefighter that
"tied his two mixed-breed dogs to a pipe in his basement and shot them in December so he wouldn't have to put them up in a kennel while he went on vacation."

it doesn't say where the bullet struck the helmet. We don't know if it hit right on the forehead area or on side. It probably went through the side of the helmet and missed the guy's head. Why would a helmet be bullet proof? These things can't even stop a shot from my pellet gun.

The bullet passed through the tha very back of the helmet. Essentially grazing the back of the rider's head. Not even bullet proof vests are bullet proof (more like bullet resistant to small calibre rounds, and very few at a time). Just imagine he wasn't wearing a helmet. The round probably would have passed within an inch of his head.
