need some help

Hey people! New to the forum, i've been to one or two rides but usually just ride solo, anywho i dont know jack about bikes just got one fixed up good enough to get from point a to b which has work great so far but i seems like it time i get new wheels on it. i have a low budget and was wondering if maybe someone can give me some pointers/tips on getting some wheels. thankz

Depending on where you live, try the Bike Oven, Kitchen, Valley Bikery, Bikrowave...

a new decent track wheel set will be at like 100 bucks.

Or if you don't have that big of a budget, I would suggest one of the bike co-ops listed above.

i live by Vermont/Beverly area the first two spots seems pretty close by thanks..
that website has real good prices my budget is at about 150 right now
does the brand make a difference or not really?

Unless you do some serious riding any of these should do. If you're building a fixed gear then get a track wheel set.

ok cool track wheel set are only for fixed gear right? i have 12 speeds on the one i have right now so every other would work with that?

You can convert it over, just have to take off the derailleurs, and a smaller chain. If you still want to keep the gears, then goto the bike co-op it'll be easier for you that way.

yeah i'd probably get lost doing all that but i have a 27 in the front and the back is a 700c so im assuming i can get both to be 700's?
