...but some cops are okay

Two weekends ago I was on my merry way to Bikerowave 2.0 to help move. I was taking Nebraska over and had to make a left turn across Bundy, which is a major two way street with no light.
I'm sitting there waiting for my chance when this cop pulls up next to me, lights on. I'm thinking, "Oh shit, I'm boned for running all those stop signs," but he says, "Don't worry, I got your turn covered" and proceeds to drive out and "cork" traffic so I can make my turn.
I gave him a huge smile and a "Thank you sooo much!"
Should have asked for his name, called the department, and praised him to whoever is his higher up.

Do you really think he would have done the same if you werent a female rider?

Even though I have an initial negative gut reaction to cops, I have noticed lately that when we are riding safely in groups, there has been minimal interference and even support from LAPD.
I usually avoid L.A.C.Sheriffs like the plague though.

I never really have to deal with them and we just come and go our separate ways without incident.
The way I see it, those that continually get nailed are usually asking for it, not going to name names, but I could tell they had it coming.
You see, it's all about running stealth and saving that lip for the aggro-civilians that think they're militant, but just acting like an ass.
Speaking of ass, "Meet the Browns" is on tonight.
