I got hit by a car! MOMRIDA DOWN!

FCKING cars! you cant even legally signal, look behind you, make sure no cars are coming and merge safely anymore! this summer heats got everyones panties in a bunch.
I'm positive most of you have taken this route. fig to 2nd, 2nd to glendale, glendale to park, park to sunset etc.
I thought that was the way i was going home. Little did i know Alex would be picking me up from good sam. hospital.
I'm not hurt. I have some scratches and such, but hey, i'm alive, right? Oh, and thanks guy who didnt run me over :)
Here's what happened as best as i can explain it. You see, this only happened about 2 hours ago, so im still in shock a little.
Taking fig to 2nd. trying to merge into the 'pocket lane' as the lawyer called it and checked to make sure everyone was slowed or clear and it was. THEN out of no where dude in a corolla sped up and hit my front wheel from behind me as i was turning. he was NO WHERE IN SIGHT when i turned around. I hit the front of his car with my body and have no idea how i got on the left side of his car. My bike continued to get revenge by scratching the back of his car something fierce. He pulled over as i got on my bike with a stem pointed the WRONG WAY...so my handlebars were still trying to turn left and my front wheel was straight. i rode across 2nd like that and told the witnesses i was okay. one guy gave me his number and said the other dude was guilty. i then told one of the witnesses(actually, i screamed at her) "IM GOING TO FUCK THIS GUY UPP!"
i then grabbed my bike and either for dramatic effect or out of sheer shock i picked it up and threw it back at the ground. then, oh, then i told the guy off! I was yelling with the force of a 16 ton freight train. I was shaking and screaming when someone from the road told me i was in shock and i should call an ambulance. So i did. i went to the hospital and while i was being check out very carelessly by the staff of good Samaritan hospital i realized "oi! i didnt get that fucker info!" then a cop walked up to me and gave his info. I stopped crying at that point. But that cop was an exceptional DICK. anyway.
Alex picked me up from the hospital and i talked to a lawyer, but nothing has been done yet.
Has this happened to anyone? Any good advice on what to do? MOMRIDAZ REPRESENT

definitely sucks. your lawyer is probably checking on the guys insurance carrier and such. Be sure get adequate compensation for your bike, time, and pain & suffering. Keep all your bills including hospital, paid transportation, bike repair costs, etc.
You should be able to get some $$$ for your time and trouble, it's only right.
Glad you are ok :)

Glad you're OK. To put it into context, if you're not hurt, then you're doing a lot better than most ridazz who tangle with Detroit metal.

If hes insured file a claim right away. If you're not hurt and dont have any hospital bills to deal with you can skip the lawyer otherwise get one right now.
Did you get any info from any of the witnesses?

Glad you are OK. And that you got the guy's info. What time of day/night did this happen?

it happened around 2 or 2:30 in the middle of the day.
I did go to the hospital, and i am aching pretty bad today so that guy will be paying for my doctors visit tomorrow, the pain i've endured thus far, any work i miss, and for the fact that, i just dont want to ride right now and i have no way to get anywhere. Who knows, i could develop even crazier anxiety about getting on the freeway than i do now(because of the bus v.s. me+mybike accident a few months ago) and they'l have to pay for that shit too. I don't know how to pay for anxiety, but oh, they'll pay all right.
My bike isn't harmed too bad. You can tell he hit my front wheel, because my handlebars are turning left, and he knocked my wheel straight. But thats nothing a little elbow grease can't fix. My chain ring or something in that area(i know its not the bottom bracket, i just had it tightened) is clicking when i push down. Not sure what it is...Uh, wheels need trued, Stuff needs straightened, pretty much anything that has been wrong with my bike, is getting paid for. No doubt.
And thanks for the comforting words, homies. I really hope this never happens to you as often as its happened to me.
Anyone have any inspiring words to get me back on old faithful? I can't bare to look at him under these torn and painful conditions...
And wear a helmet please. I would have felt a lot safer and not so insanely scared of cars right now.

Oh, and i haven't talked to the car full of witnesses yet, but im praying that they'll help me out however they can. I know they saw what happened and i'd really like to know if i flipped over the hood or not. I'm almost positive i did. :/

Hey take care of yourself first!
Sounds like you need to calm down a little bit so you can help yourself to heal. You have a lawyer, right? Let him/her do their job. Take it easy for a bit...

Before climbing back on your baby ... take it to Orange 20 or another trusted shop that can professionally check out the frame alignment, look for cracks and broken parts, and make sure everything else, straight, tight, and properly adjusted.

if you knew me well, you'd know i don't take things lying down. I'm very involved in things that are happening to me and 'calming down' is not as easy as it sounds.
I actually had planned on taking it to Orange 20, and just getting a complete tune-up. The Werks.
No. I wasn't wearing a helmet as most of us don't, but i admit, It's kind of silly. I'm lookin for one as we speak. uhh, read?
