After the flat that caused me to miss the half of the Midcity Misfixed ride I decided to finally try and get the best tires out there for a single speed road bike. I need your help though. What is the best tire that is most puncture resistant? Maybe some 700's x 26 ?

if you're getting pinch flats, it means you aren't pumping your tires up to the recommended pressure. get a floor pump with a gauge and pump up at least once a week. as for puncture resistant tires, look at continental gatorskins (there are other brands but i don't know them off the top of my head).

I've had good luck with bontrager hardcase lite and the conti gatorskins. Never had a flat with the bonts for more than a year... But did start developing these mini slice tears and ended up failing and falling apart... but again after a year and like over 2k miles. The contis recently blew a sidewall but must've been a freak of nature. But... Before the blowout... No flats and both roll really nice!

Soma Everwears are the best for skidding and stopping. I have a GatorSkin as well but its on the front . It's never worn our had a flat in well over 1000 miles.
But the soma was reviewed in a recent issue of Cog ( http://www.cogmag.com/issues/) #5 and the results speak for themselves. I've ridden the SOma on the rear and 0 flats with upwards of 1000 miles, not quite, but a lot of long skidding. And no sins of wearing!

i roll with gatorskins on one of my bikes and continental 4000 on the others. i like the contis, have owned about 5 sets of them, and they last until they stop lasting, then its time for the garbage... usually about 1500 miles. haven't put enough miles on the gatorskins yet but everyone seems to swear by them.

The specialized all condition sport tires were recommended to me by Jim C and have been pretty good to me.
The rear lasted me 6 months, the front lasted me a whole year.
When It came time to put on some freshies I bought another pair.
The reflective side-walls are really bright.

everyone's pretty much stated everything to be said. soma everwears for the rear if you skid. continental gatorskins and the specialized armadillos pictured above are the same type of aramid bead tire they're just made by different companies, i'd go with the gatorskins > armadillos they're about $10 cheaper and just as good if not better.
