SANTA ANA Police arrested an 18-year-old man and detained three boys on suspicion of attempting to rob a bicyclist late Friday, Cmdr. Stephen Colon said.
Luis Edward Ortega, 18, of Santa Ana, was booked at the Santa Ana Jail. Officers detained the three boys who will face juvenile court, Colon said.
The arrest and detentions were the culmination of an investigation that began at 11:20 p.m. Friday night, when Santa Ana's Strike Force officers pulled over two juvenile boys on the 900 block of West Edinger Avenue, Colon said.
Moments later, another juvenile boy and Ortega walked by just as another man ran around the corner, telling officers he'd been robbed at knifepoint, Colon said.
The man said he was riding his bicycle in the 1300 block of West Edinger Avenue when he was surrounded by four males who knocked him off his bike, demanding his money.
The man told officers he attempted to fight off the suspects with his bicycle, pushing them back before running away, Colon said.

Honestly... on my commute home...
I was riding on Santa Monica blvd near the Mormon temple, and for the first time, as far as i can remember-- this SUV was slowing down at the red light and as I rode by their vehicle, the passenger stuck his arm out and swung it as if he were trying to slap my ass. They laughed and I kind of did too...
Anyhow,
As flattered as i was... I recalled my posts recently, and I was pleased to realize that maybe men and women are being treated equally now. I must revisit my prior thoughts, and I will dress less attractively
