The trucking company I was recently cleared for, runs out there every week.
Fresh produce to NYC, and whatever coming back.
I'm still looking for a relatively cheap, Dahon-folder.
Since this is a team-operation, I'll probably ride while the unloading is going on.
Let's just hope I don't end up getting chewed up and spit back out by them crazy-ass, messenger jocks out that way.

exactly my words. i feel my bike is a fighter jet. we ride them fast too!! at least i do. that is why im gonna give my bike a lockheed skunkworks sr71 paint job with matt black. down to the red "NO STEP" pin striping, only the stars are going to be upside down same goes for the american flags.

I used to live a few blocks away from the Brooklyn starting point. Lot's-o- fixie kids over there in that neighborhood.
Is the NYCPD still arresting groups of cyclists? Last time I heard, you had to have a parade license or else they would fuck you.

my old room mate was arrested and was held in the bus depot pier on the west side of manhattan,
After that incident, cops were harassing small groups of people on bikes, who were not even riding.
Hope it's cleared up now with the cops.
One cool thing about NYC is that they just added in a few thousand miles of bike lanes to the city threw-out the 5 burrows. Some of these bike lanes took over a normal "car" lane, and reserved it just for bikes. Last time I was there, I felt safer riding around downtown manhattan drunk in rush hour than I do in LA.
If anyone goes, I have two bikes locked up in Brooklyn for someone to use.

START BUYING PLANE TICKETS!
To me, Brooklyn is a plane trip for most Ridazz, not a car or bus trip. i dont know if people are willing to spend 7 days total on the road (NOT IN NY) and I personally wont be around to organize anything. It takes a lot organize a group trip. I am suggesting that if people want to go, buy your plane ticket now.
The last weekend in October typically is Bike Kill.
I really think its time to buy your plane tickets.

Halloween at Greenpoint is awesome. I think. It's like Critical Mass with a Mosh Pit at Rock Star Bar under the williamsburg bridge. Except the only hassles are the cabbies.
The L Train at Halloween is more absurd though. It's like watching a Hugh Grant movie on a LSD/Placebo cocktail.
Will the Brooklyn Ridazz stay strong in July cos that's when I'm down.
