Chill Chinatown Mosey
Meets: 830 at 640 N. Spring (Spring and Chavez) to BBQ/Booze/Chill
Leaves: 945 SHARP, come sooner if you drink slow
~15 miles, leisurely, good for beginners/drunks

Little Joy is a bar, Handbone, where people go to drink. As opposed to the street, where people also go to drink. 21+ It's the diviest of dives and pretty awesome. Almost got beaten up by three ladies last time I was there. Steph will protect me! I hope...

my high school japanese teachers favorite word was mosey.
she really liked verbs, especially nouns that turn into verbs, like phone.
she thought it was ridiculous that you could phone someone.

The first car pulled us over because a new rider did not have a tail light. He got a fix-it ticket. They were a little strong in their handling and certainly just gave him a warning but maybe it was a slow night. It also didn't help that at least one or two riders wouldn't back away and let the officers proceed with their 'investigation'. Who knows, maybe he would have only gotten a warning if they weren't pissed off. Still, felt a little heavy handed but more of an inconvenience than anything.
The 2nd was towards the end of the ride near Groundworks on 2nd. Some of the riders blew through a red light and the cop cars saw us do it as they were behind us. (we were obviously unaware that they were there). They pulled the group over and really just wanted us to obey the lights. No tickets issued.
It felt like it was a slow night and they were just enforcing the law.
An inconvenience for us but not the end of the world.
I miss you Joe. Ride with us.. Ride with us...

my car was impounded last night.
it had nothing to do with the mosey though. maybe that was the problem...

Fun ride, thanks be to everybody for comin out! i am still completely miffed that little joy wouldn't let us in... between them and the cops we got some serious aggro last night! Cops coulda been a lot meaner, though. I'm definitely done with that bar, which is too bad cause i used to likes it. Bar 107 was plenty welcoming, on the other hand...
Pretty hilarious that we got kicked-out-before-we-were-ever-in at TWO (2) bars within 2 days...Ridazz rule!
See ya next week with a new route (probably with a stop/ending at 107)!

Yeah, mucho agro in the city that night.
The first I saw of the cops was them driving slowly by us in the left lane with one cop leaning out the window saying "What, you got a problem? You got something to say?" Trying to intimidate, trying to instigate. Fuck them. Can't slow us down.
