When Bicycle and Gamer Culture Collide... AlleyQuest

I want to have a crazy day of cycling and maybe raise some money for a cause like
World Bicycle Relief in a way everyone can enjoy. Not just the fastest most hardcore riders.
So we have... "AlleyQuest"
It's a it's like an alleycat / scavenger hunt, and at different places people have random D & D type encounters and find gold ( points ) and loot (drink tickets and prizes)
Extra points for dressing up, maybe more for winning a costume contest.
So to start there's clues, and a map at the beginning.
And everyone would get a randomly assigned character ( maybe you get to choose the type of character you are if you dress up as it )
Then you choose which of the different quests you want to go on...
"the map making quest" to find all the check points first is like a normal alleycat race
"the looters quest" to get the most gold and items
and the "badass mofo quest" to kill the most XP worth of monsters
And you go to different places and try to get gold and XP from fighting a dragon or a troll, or going through a dungeon, or following clues and finding a lost magic item.
And some of the challenges would require a big group like defeating the dragon and taking his hoard (an ice chest full of beer and assorted beverages)
So, at each checkpoint you'd have to stop and do the challenge with the DM and roll the dice and all, but i want to make it so you don't have to know D & D to race or have fun, but that it helps.
//I know this will take a lot of planning and a good group of people to run it,.... a few friends are interested in helping... but i want to see if there's any interest...
//you know you want to ride around dressed up as a wizard or a viking, or a hobbit.... :)
