HOW TO UNLOCK IPHONE?

Has anyboby unlocked an iphone? my girlfriend gave me her old iphone which was unlocked and me being the idiot i am installed the new software ,now the phone got locked up again. I checked youtube but alot of those videos were outdated or older versions of itunes. I think i installed V3.01. I dont have money to get it unlocked,textbooks are really expensive.
any tips would help,thanks

google iphone hacks. Depending on the iphone, you'll have to use either redsnow or ultra snow. The instructions are out there but are not for the impatient. It will take a few hours of reading but once you've done it once, it should take about an hour.

If it's a 2g redsnow is the best .. It's easier than you think ... I can do it for you if you want.. I have been jailbreaking and unlocking for like 2 years

Yea its simple id go with oj or john guy up their cuz i use to do it myself i had mine running on windows vista... but iphones suck in general.....

i've unlocked and jailbroken 5 2g or 1st gen iphones. it used to be easier. now it is harder. i used to be able to do it in like 10 minutes. for some reason these errors come up like error 1600 or 1604 blah blah. it can take up to two hours doing trial and error now using redsnow, pwnage tool or the outdated quickpwn. shoot me an email if you need help. Also are you doing this on a mac or pc?
