DJ AM has been around the LA scene for awhile. Although I do not personally know him, I have friends that are friends with him. This is sad news for me. I liked the shit he did with Travis.
What kind of music did he DJ? I have never heard of him in my life... My homegirl just told me that he was Christina Aguilera's husband. I didn't even know that, LOL.
Ohhh, he did vinyl? Good. I was about to say, "Why the fuck would I care about another DJ who pressed buttons in a computer?" I mean, I'm not really into the type of music he DJed (from what I saw in that video), but I appreciate the fact that he did vinyl.
Computer dj's? Well programs like serato are cool in my opinion... takes away from spending most of your time looking for the next track and lets you focus more on the transitions and mixing things up way better, replacing hi hats and all that...
Hahahaha, I haven't and I won't! Why do you think I'm still only shooting film photography? Hahahaha. I just love records, period. Collectin' em... The way they feel. I love going to soul/reggae nites and asking the selecters if I can look through their selection and making requests.
Just make a set list before your gig and you should be fine... That's what a lot of the selecters/DJs I know do!
Vynil is wonderful, i have my collection... but i mean for gigs... Computer programs such as serato allow you to do the saaame thing.. You can still use your tables and VYNIL!!!! Just makes it that much easier no having to carry around crates of vynil..
Hahahaha, I'm so lost. I STILL don't know who DJ AM is. All I know is he had babies with Christina Aguilera. I guessing he's some sort of electro DJ??????? I know nothing of that scene... hahaha.
