Damn, I only rode a few miles yesterday ... but my nose was burning on the way into work. I was trying to take it easy too (as easy one can take it riding down western at rush hour).
Thanks for nothin' burning forests and dry winds... do you bastards know I'm trying to go on a cleanse here? I can think of much more productive ways to fill my lungs with smoke.
There air is dry and dirty out there. Take it easy and hydrate!
@bentstrider: this is one of the few days a year where the environmental conditions are in your favor. soak it up brotha.

I've still got dust and dander to deal with, so it's a running battle as far as I'm concerned.
I'm actually not as badly affected by forest ash for some reason, and we've had our fair share of fires burn in the mountains to the south over the last decade.

i rode to work today, sat down and felt sick too. It's like this every summer but every time i'm like curse you forest fires! At least it's not like the fire in Griffith Park a few years back. I didn't have a car then and it was hell. Time to wear bandannas!

My last car that I owned took a shit three years ago, so driving's not an option, unless I'm renting.

Yeah, riding just a mile to go home for lunch yesterday was awful. By the time I got to my house, my nose felt like it might bleed, my eyes were all teary and I felt like vomiting. Not good. No riding other than my 1 mile commute for the next few days.

time to get yourselves a mask because until those fires are fully contained. it will not get any better.

Okay, masks? Really?
I dunno, that seems to be going a bit overboard.

Well, if you have to do it, then do so.
However, I'm tend to be a little more careless when it comes to the fires that burn here in the surrounding mountains and enjoy the smell of burning pine.
I imagine I'll be paying for it later though, so I run my risks.
