My girlfriend found a tattoo shop in Portland (and another NYC) that uses only vegan ink, and now we're both interested in animal-free tattoo in LA.
Does anyone know a vegan tattoo artist? Or one that mixes their own ink?

i would be worried the vegan ink would fade and look bad down the line.

Lots of tattoo ink contains 'bone black' which is made with charcoal from burning animal bones, and almost all have glycerin made from animal fat.

I guess vegan ink is pretty common....just have to ask around.
But yeah, if you know of someone who already uses vegan ink, it'd be cool to check them out first, thanks!
