A cop on the last mosey.I just need to see that list of the things you need to do the postponing stuff or anything else that will work.
Oh and I didn't run the light by the way,the first thing the non ticketing officer said to me was "I''m not saying you did or didn't run the light I'm just saying there are alot of people riding out here and I have to prove a point"

you can extend the court date 60 days just on the website. http://www.lasuperiorcourt.org/
@debut213 some of the time thsoe red light cameras are actually run by a third party so they cant legally give you a ticket. so instead they send you a form that looks like a ticket from court but is really just a form to turn yourself into the court. the cameras that are run by the city though are real tickets. those are easily gotten out of by saying that your uncle from england was driving the car and giving them a bogus address.

Thanx for shedding some light on this for me, Larsen. I was completely out of the loop regarding this....

These red-light cameras only take pictures of license plates and then have tickets issued to whoever those plates were registered to.
Unless there's some type of thing in place where they're identifying facial features, these red-light cameras should be treated with a grain of salt if you're not driving a car.

I got a ticket for a red light. The problem is you have to pay the bail amount up front then they reimburse you if you win the case. I did not have the 350 dollars. If you are like me you will have to appear for arraignment and ask for OR own recognisance. Then you don't have to pay until you lose. And they will still give you another 3 months to pay. The important thing is to fight it and show up. Because I lost but did get my ticket reduced from 350 to 128 dollars.

Was your plea not guilty or no contest?

Yeah I told the judge that I was on a bike to see if he would throw it out in the arraignment stage. But he did not seem to like bikes to much.

Here is an argument I thought of. And it goes right to the heart of bike infrastructure.
Red lights are set up with censors that react to the metal in a car. Now if you are at a light by your self. With no car in sight. Then I don't think the censor will activate. It might be the same as arguing the light was not functioning.

Well, this system could be applied for that use, but for now it seems to be strict license-plate images taken from these cameras.
We're having all sorts of bitching and moaning about the cameras being on every street in Victorville.
Apparently, the budget shortfall is so extreme here, the city council recently voted against a measure to add 1 second to the light-waiting time.
How do others avoid it though?
They simply stray across city borders into Hesperia or Apple Valley.
As far as myself running those lights is concerned?
No snap-shot for me, the flashes always pop off when someone else in a car did the deed.
