HYPERION

Hyperion is an extremely dangerous street. Particularly that stretch by Tangs (Sunset) going towards Rowena. Riders have broken bones before because of that huge crack, and drivers are also starting to treat it like a freeway. Everyone please be careful (ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT) when riding up Hyperion.
I almost ate really bad shit on that crack last night on my way home, and that was with fat 26"'s. Most people have 700's and if you don't break your collarbone, you'll probably break something else if you get stuck in there. Not only that, but drivers were zooming past me way too close for comfort.
Be safe everyone.

Truth.
That part of Hyperion next to Tangs that's actually Fountain is pretty dangerous, too.

But seriously hyperion is super sketchy,i commute along there everyday and if im not keeping 110% focus for cracks its on the drivers zooming past me switching lanes and what not.

That street! It changes names, breaks bones and messes up your hair - watch out!

I ride that stretch going to work almost everyday. I kinda like it though. You really need to watch out though.

Isn't GPB a little better in that stretch? Haven't done it at night though.

The whole area between Silverlake and Atwater/Glendale has some truly horrific streets. Rowena, Glendale, Fletcher, Los Feliz and Riverside are all "bike hostile" and completely unavoidable if you want to get anywhere. I am forced to ride them a lot, and It's unusual when two or three cars going at least 10 mph over the speed limit don't come within 6 inches of my narrowed handlebars.

Yeah. That's my direct area, and sometimes it can get bad. I've never been really been bothered until last night.

Someone who's close by should spray paint that hole with florescent orange paint.
I'm way down in O.C., but I'll pack a spray can next time I'm up there, which is usually twice a month.
