FUN IS BACK!
A new club that promotes the art and advancement of instantaneous FUN on location in urban settings is looking for participants/members for upcoming happenings!

-STYLE YOURSELF IN THE FASHIONS OF THE FUTURE?
-FANCY YOURSELF LEAVING A SEXY, SMILING CORPSE?

-BE THE BEARER OF HAPPY NEWS?
-PLAY THE GAME OF LIFE IN REAL LIFE?
-WEAR ANIMAL MASKS AND CHANT THE NAME OF THE ANIMAL?
-PRETEND YOU ARE ON ABANDONED ISLANDS?
-PAINT YR BODY A COLOR?
IF THE ANSWER IS YES TO ANY OF THE ABOVE, THEN YOU ARE READY TO GO!!!
Meetings held every Thursday night at 7pm. The first 30 minutes of each meeting will be video-taped and played live via Skype. Our meetings will coincide with the taping of The Colors Project, a cable access television show in Manhattan put on by a group of very inspiring video and performance artists. During the taping of a Colors Project episode anything is possible, creativity and imagination reign supreme. You are encouraged to create a non-sequitur dialogue with yourself and the character you take on. It is important to note that even though there is little to no direction, an overall theme will arise. The Colors Project will in turn use our live Skype footage to edit into the show live. These episodes are then posted on their website, thecolorsproject.com It would be beneficial to watch an episode before attending one of our meetings.
We are very excited to get excited around LA! At our first meeting we will discuss when and where the first happening will occur. Theme? No-theme? Time of day?
Another side to FUN IS BACK! is bringing FUN to events that just don't have enough FUN. In other words, FUN-CRASHING parties, art openings, parades, protests, speeches, movie screenings, zoos, Disneyland? There are a thousand other events and places to bring more FUN to!
We know you are ready LA!! Future projects include getting our own slot for a cable access television show here in LA that will coincide with The Colors Project. This would allow us to use their studio footage and them to use our studio footage. Impromptu parades through MacArthur Park, Echo Park, Elysian Park, Griffith Park. Live poem yelling matches and painting/collage wars. Meeting up with other groups of similar interest like The Artist Faculty, Midnight Ridazz, The Bullhorn Brunch Society, The Selective Collective, Eighteen-Thirty, FUNDERSTORM.
First meeting of FUN IS BACK! will be held at 1830 Sunset Blvd in Echo Park, 7pm on Thursday November 20th and every Thursday following.
Let the FUN begin!!!

Minutes for Meetings will be held from 7pm to 8:30pm, afterwards bicycle riding will undoubtably occur. Why not capitalize on the occasion?
Please come dressed in wardrobe. We only have a tiny wardrobe that we hope will grow over time.

Yes, you too can participate live via Skype from the privacy of your own home. If that is where you feel the weirdest then please make it happen. Also, why not have a east side and a west side meet up for the Skype. They air at 11pm so we need to be on at 8pm.

OK, FUN IS BACK!! first meeting Friday!!!
That's right that's right!!!! The innaggrual meeting and flagship Skype project will begin at 7pm with some warm up exercises, aerobics, and trampoline jumping contest (pretend trampolines!!!). I will have some clothing and am looking for body paint. If there is no body paint, we have to make up for it by getting extra freaky!
FREAKS!!!! Thursday is our day to FREAK!!! Bring your freaky body to 1830 Sunset Blvd for our first ever meeting. Call time is 7pm to get ready for the serious meat of the meeting. The Colors Project airs at 11pm Eastern Time. So we are sending our Skype feed at 8pm sharp.
If you are going to attend the first meeting it is strongly suggested that you visit thecolorsproject.com to see what the show is all about.
After we FREAK, we will eat chocolate chip cookies? During the second part of the meeting maybe there will be a mutiny? Against who? Against what? You have to come to FUNDERSTAND the POSSIBILITIES people!! In the ensuing chaos we will retreat to our bicycles (ride em' if you got em') to show LA the newest most glorious extravaganza of all time!!!!! LA LOVES SPECTACLE!!!
During all this mayhem and confusion we will cooridinate when and where our first FUN-HAPPENING will occur. I know there are enough powerful and FREAKY minds around, so I know we will come up with something bizarre and appropriate.
Then that's it people, we come back to 1830, and... wait until after Thanksgiving to do it again.

The Skyping was a sucess!!! We were able to get freaky all over the freaky faces of the NYC colors project. We played a round of fantasy poker, the freaky bearded mexican wrestling mask, the ski-masked freak, the fringe draped saxophone dude, the leapord coat freak!
The Bike/Walk Meeting after the show became a rooftop suggestion board style meeting with toots o the saxophone. The first FUN-HAPPENING will take place the first week of December. Along with a bike ride to commemorate our first FUN-HAPPENING!!!!!

The next FUN IS BACK meeting and COLORSTORM will be happening tommorrow night Thursday Dec. 4th at 7pm at 1830 Sunset Blvd.
If you want to freak out for thirty minutes while skyping into The Colors Project in New York make it!!!!!!!! The Skyping happens at 8pm but come at 7pm for drinks and whatever else!!!!!
If people are interested we will ride bikes following the meeting and create more FUN AND CHAOS AS WE RIDE!!!!!!!!!!
