Barcade is at 371 n. Western just N. Of Beverly.
parking meters out front and some creative locking options around the back.

Milla I love you Dawg , But I must say FUCK BARCADE and there Over Priced SHIIT and Shitty attitude Security. Don't get me wrong BarCade use to be Hella cool when it was off of 2nd st in the up stairs apt. (those where the daze) I guess since they Got organized and started catering to real lame posers they might as well started being real pricks and Professional too, Whatever...!!!!

I think there drink prices are normal..... And it's the only cool bar in the area.

Barcade was dope when it was underground, but thats the nature of underground shit, it don't last forever.
But whatvez .. you should show up tonight and make the vibe even better.
Barcade is like any bar ... lots more douchy people on friday and saturday. On wednesdays its its just bikers, locals, video game nerds and music heads ... if anybody.

Tonight (5/20) is gonna be RAD. We got
Mr. Juanderful rocking all sorts punky post-discoy stuff.
And the amazing
DJ Lengua who makes fantastic funky records with chunky 808 beats and cumbia samples.
My self I'll be all over the map as using my "gifts" of an having an incredibly short attention span to explore dub, old school hip hop, punk, pre&post disco & and all the lovely spaces in between.
NEXT MONTH: DEF BEFORE DISCO BIKE NIGHT - Strictly 2 wheeled DJs + special prizes for all who roll in on a bike.

Barcade is going in hiatus at the end of the month so DB4D will be too.
Tonight will be a "Long Players" edition of Def Before Disco.

so in another bit of shameless self promotion
i'm gonna remind everybody that i am djing tonight at barcade
and by "djing" i mean that i am gonna show up with a stack of LPs to play from and invite others to do the same.
While the LP sides are spinning, i'll have plenty of time to banter with visitors, rock the dance floor, and play video games on the last night of Def Before Disco.
If you are planning to bring a record: bring an LP that some how relates to the broad theme of: "The Tangled Roots and Mutant Fruits of DUB, DISCO, PUNK, and HIP HOP"
So... maybe i'll see you there. Maybe i wont.
