Why must it fly over my house at all times of day and night? I have to wake up at 0530 and I can't sleep because the helicopter is doing orbits and shaking my damn house like someone has 4 stars in GTA 3! This has become part of the background noise of my almost 25 years in L.A. There's no reason it has to be. No matter where you live in this city you deserve a little peace and quiet in your own home and a good night's rest. The LAPD should get UAVs. I know it's scary having flying robots watching you, but they are much, much quieter.

Victoria and 48th st. My block is great, but bad stuff goes down on the east side of Crenshaw and on Slauson. I really want them to catch those idiots but I wish they didn't have to use the helicopter all the time. They should only use it for lighting up LACM and occasionally crank mob. Oh and for high speed chases.

They must be utilizing those AS-350s with the twin turbines and four bladed main rotor.
Longer endurance, better lifting capabilities, louder than a mule getting fucked by your momma.

Choppers - the thing I hate most about Los Angeles, a close second after the automobile. Even with earplugs, I hear them almost every fucking night in East Hollywood.
Is catching one person worth waking up thousands of people? Not to mention how utterly innefficient it is to burn that much fuel.

Venice too - got spotlighted on my roof last night, waved 'hi'. UAVs, tho...don't know about those cruising overhead, they seem to go down with some (unreported) regularity and leave quite a bit to be desired in the precision category. Howbout a fleet of LAPD Ospreys?

I've yet to see Foldie in person, but I take it he's about as much of a dick as RBI has become.
It's also funny how many here assumes I'm a middle-aged, angry white guy then see me in person and faint.
Anywho, LAPD, LASD, and all other LE agencies should probably look into using blimps.
They're quieter, have a higher loiter time(12+hrs in the sky vs. 3-4hrs guzzling JP-8 or the civilian equivalent), and can also be be blacked-out to blend in with the night-sky.
