Best Seasons to Ride

It's starting to cool down outside and I'm happeh! Riding this summer wasn't as enjoyable to me as when I started riding last October. I miss having to warm up after a stop and all the shivering that came with it. I miss the cold wind on my face, hands, and legs. Most of all I miss the cold rainy days, although it didn't really rain over the last 12 months. Riding without a shirt in the frosty early mornings is also exhilarating.
What's your favorite season? I guess those that have lived outside of SoCal can probably give better answers since we don't really have seasons here.

Winter!!! Definitely Winter. It's awesome have to prepare with gloves, a hoodie, a jacket over the hoodie, and sometimes a ski mask.

There is no winter in LA. Doesn't get that cold, but it is a good time to ride.

Yeah, I don't think I'm up for riding in snow. I just want cold air and gray skies.

This colder weather I am enjoying greatly. This (swine?) flu, not so much.
And riding in the ice and snow? You get used to it. Good gloves... very important.

Summer and Vegas weather where it's 110 degrees at night.
What everyone calls cold in LA is shirt-sleeve weather up in Victimville.
I still ride when it gets cold, but it usually involves the choice of buying $50 worth of inclement weather gear that someone threw out, or a $200 visit to the ER due to pneumonia.
Yeah, 50 degrees and under is my kryptonite.

Fall and Spring...I'll admit I'm born and raised in L.A. and don't do well in very hot or very cold weather. I love crisp fall weather and the brief time that the hills are green...great time to head to Ventura, Calabasas, and Ojai...

I enjoy hearing the ice crunch under my tires and feeling cold air in my lungs. Slowing to a crawl for every turn so I don't slip on ice, not so much.
