This is a continuation of Keeler Critical Mass. Which has redirect code on it, and yes I expect this one to have done the same thing. I'll just post this up again. Most of the text has been saved.
The issues here is that a tren way member was being mean spirited and inclusive in posting this ride. This ride was an out of town ride, with hours to spare, and with practically no information of any use to anyone reading it. All which points to this being mean spirited. (you find a more mean spirited ride, and I'll shut up.)
It is inclusive in that ALL the details on the logistics of this ride was communicated offline and privately.
By being mean spirited and inclusive, it's has violated the policies that have governed MR for years now. So do we make exceptions to these policies? If we do, then who makes the judgment? Why can't tren way just address this failure, apologize and move on? As you can see from this thread, they're acting like a-holes.

You failed to hype the ride up! How else are you going to convince people to go? You have to entice people to go on the ride. It needs to stay near the top of the thread list for at least a week, as well with occassional bumps.

Your ride was never posted. If it was, there would have been questions about this ride. The only ones that knew about this ride were tren way members. So why are you guys being non-inclusive and mean spirited? That's not what MR promotes or encourages.

You don't post up a ride that is out of town, and on the same day as the ride. That's called being mean spirited! You don't go leave people to figure out how to get there with just a few hours of planning time. That's called being mean spirited! Ever since I popped up on the scene and flapped my gums about the desert and how truck-driving will always be the coolest job of them all, there have been record trips made past the confines of the LA-basin within the last two years.
The hot springs in Deep Creek, Salton Sea, The Devils Punchbowl, Churchill County, Nevada(Black Rock City), any small town along the quiet stretch of the 395, like it or not, my ranting exploits may or may not have stirred the trucker-wanderlust that exists within every single one of you.
I'm just saying that what's part of a random duty-day for a rig-jockey, becomes a source of enlightenment and mysticism for the person whose line of work doesn't take them out of the same city that much.

i looked at the ride post..
it was posted the same day as the ride... probably a few hours before it happened.
that's almost as bad as posting the ride after it happened.
what's really bothersome is creating this thread (and another one) to hype up a ride that you knew no one else would attend
you guys took a complaint about making exclusive rides, and decided you would post the ride in such a way that would guarantee no one you didn't want would come, and then use that as justification that it wasn't an exclusive ride.

Yes there are some rides that fail to address some of things needed in a ride that's posted, but nothing that can be considered mean spirited. If you can find a ride posting that was more mean spirited than this ride, then I'll gladly shut up. My bet is you can't.
