It's Black Friday, so I'm going to do LACM for sure. And if I have any say in it, which I know I might not, the LACM on Black Friday will NOT go to the People's Ride. Of all Fridays, LACM has to fuck with LA all evening.
Fuck the largest shopping day of the year. (And fuck People's Ride.)

Alright, that was unduly negative.
How about this - Fuck Black Friday, and fuck LACM riding to People's Ride (instead of "fuck People's Ride").
Okay. There.

I have plans, so I can't make it... oh, wait? maybe I can...
It's BLACK FRIDAY, aka "busiest shopping day of the year*", but for some of us it's...
BUY NOTHING DAY
Please ride through EVERY MALL YOU CAN. Please help fight Corporate Sponsored Consumerist Bullshit by holding up traffic at shopping districts and malls.
PLEASE.
Also, please don't take the ride to People's Ride, keep those rides SEPARATE!!!
*It really isn't, but that's what they say. The busiest shopping days of the year are the Friday and Saturday before XMas.

Depends on your definition of an MR ride.
If by MR ride, you mean a social ride in Los Angeles, then yes - it is now.
If by MR ride, you mean it sticks to the "principles" of MR, then no - it shouldn't be.
If by MR ride, you mean it is posted on MR, then yes - it is.

No it isn't. It is suppose to be a community-based direct action ride through traffic.
The riders are free to do what they want. I was on a Critical Mass once where most of the group broke off in West Hollywood to go to the Peoples ride. No one put a gun to their head. They just did it. The remaining people kept riding, though the group had dwindled to 12 riders.

^^^ That's what I'm hoping will happen this time, but I hope more people will stick with LACM to FUCK UP BLACK FRIDAY.

I usually work late Friday's (this Friday I am off), and I never can make the meet time for LACM. I found the ride once while riding around and searching for it. But most times it has been a futile situation for me. I always end up at the Peoples because I know that ride start time is later and a lot of people from LACM will do that ride too.
I wish LACM had a posted route like MR rides, but I guess that is against "the rules".
What I am saying is I wish LACM were more like MR with routes, leaders, etc. But it is what it is I guess.

That's what I hear about the whole bike scene.
Time to pick up, move on, evolve.
We be ok.

Anyways, all of this stuff aside, I think everyone should wear all black to LACM, in honor of Black Friday. A bunch of bike riders in black (read: black bloc) fucking with people's ability to shop on Black Friday would be very rad.

i just saw this thread and it occurred to me that a great way to attract an LAPD shutdown would be to post stuff like "THIS LACM, LET'S FUCK UP BLACK FRIDAY"
