2 O'Clock Scramble - The Rod Armas Memorial Ride

It has been 4 months since the tragic accident on PCH severely injured 14 year old Christian and took the life of his father Rod Armas. Words cannot express the loss of an amazing father, husband, friend and cycling advocate. On Sunday, November 15 we will celebrate the life of Rod Armas and dedicate a day of riding. Christian Armas will join us on the ride after a tough 4 month period of rehabilitation. The ride/race will be called:

Start/Finish Lancaster City Park - Lancaster CA.
Cost will be $20 and $5 of canned goods.
Every cent will be donated to the Christian Armas College Fund.
The canned goods will be donated to Grace Resources.
If you ride bicycles YOU NEED TO ATTEND THIS EVENT!!!
3 different start times. All with a 2:00pm finish time.
Pot luck after the ride and tons of prizes and entertainment.
There will be classes for everyone:
Road, Mountain, Men's Women's, Hybrid, Fixed and even BMX!
Block Bikes and their distributors are sponsoring the event.
Every cent of the entry fees collected go to Christian's College Fund.
All food donations go to Grace Resources.
Entries will receive a tee shirt, map, punch card & spoke card.
Traditionally the weather is perfect on this date and we will expect no less
This event is designed and promoted by Block so you know it will be good!

Some updated details:
Maps will be handed out exactly 30 minutes before each class start time.
9:00 start time - up to 5 hours to finish. 3 classes: mens, womens, & fixed.
11:00 start time - up to 3 hours to finish. 4 classes: mens, womens,fixed & MTB.
12:30 start time - up to 1 1/2 hours to finish. 4 classes: mens, womens, hybrid/cruiser & BMX.
All 3 classes will finish together before 2:00pm.
Awards are 3 deep in every class. Huge raffle with tons of prizes.
Pot luck during and after the ride for riders, friends and family. Bring food and drinks, enough for one or 2 people and share in the festivities.

Tonight's CYCOLOGY-The Lancaster Ride will preview a little of Sunday's race.
Start time tonight 7:00PM Sharp!
Try to make it out, it will give you a slight advantage for Sunday.
