I say ride every night. Why not. Dec 3rd is a token day to point out the fact cyclist are 2nd class citizens. Have fun tho.

I agree 100%. Its ridiculous for them to say that we shouldn't be allowed to ride it. I would love to ride this as well, on Thurs. but don't get out of work until 6pm...could probably make it over there a bit after that...anyone gonna be riding it starting then?

I have ridden the festival of lights both during the special bikes only night and during the regular night. let me say this. when I rode on the regular night NO ONE told me I couldnt go through. I was with about 50 people and NONE OF US WERE ASKED TO STOP AND GO AWAY. At least I didn't see it happen.... the one thing that did bum me out was the exhaust fumes from the traffic jam that IS the festival of lights. that whole shit is a waste of money anyway IMHO.
The reality is that on the bike/ped night people in CARS are being robbed of their LEGAL RIGHT to drive through that road (at bike and peds expense) it looks more to me like a good will gesture on the part of Tom LaBonge to feature a night exclusively for peds/bikes. I don't know how it got twisted in to some evil deed. I've never been restricted from going through there on my bike during the regular festival... has anyone on bike ACTUALLY been told to go back? please share your stories...

Yes they stop you and ask you to walk your bike on the dirt trail along side the road.
They have made the rules this year to be tuffer on enforcemnt, so we have to make sure are rights are not violated.
Have fun , ride and have a great Christmans and Hanukah and Quanza and New Year and and and and and
