in fact i stayed behind because there was one rida left behind me...and i thought hey No rida left behind...just to find me and the other rida get dropped...lol....ive only seen this "no rida left behind" policy with some rides..

snowcone's never left me behind
i find with rides there is this cyclical* (hehehe) karma
if you give some beer you get a tube, if you steal a light you get a flat
almost as simple as that. but it's more than doing good things because you'll be rewarded or not doing bad things because you'll be punished.
doing good should just be for the sake of itself
so if you steal a 12 pack and give half of it away you should be straight lmao

??? so if i get a flat that means i stole something?....??? explain more of this

could've been a car you cut off, a rida you passed up, an old lady you didn't give a seat to on the bus, who knows? maybe it was lying about it being your last cigarette or something
i find when we are inconsiderate to those participating in this world game of life the world life game lacks consideration for us

BUMP...
That's a great question, Eddieboy. No Rida Left Behind. What the fuck does it mean?
I just reread the old KCET article by Stephen Krcmar,
No Rider Left Behind: a Los Angeles Story, and it really got me to thinking about this. I've been on some rides recently that definitely had this original vibe of fun and watching out for each other.
Other rides, not so much.
On the < href="http://www.midnightridazz.com/forums.php?topicId=8617&pgnum=1" target="_blank">Monday Night Rehab thread, someone reported that the ride had a bottle thrown at them. And on the recent RWNN Anniversary ride, even though that was a full-on awesome ride, at one point, a ped, acting like he wanted to high-five me, punched at my arm so hard he almost knocked me off my bike.
Under those circumstances, it's even more important for us to be watching out for each other - like when you stayed and watched out for Sauce at the end of Where the Wild Things Ride. That's what it's all about.
For anyone who hasn't read the linked article above, I recommend it. Maybe it's a bit overwritten, but it captures the essence of what I thought (think) MR is supposed to be about...

AND THAT MY FRIENDS IS WHY I ASK THIS QUESTION.
NO RIDA LEFT BEHIND: WHAT THE FUCK DOES THAT MEAN?
I REMEMBER WHEN THIS SHIT STARTED HERE IN LA.
PEOPLE WERE FRIENDLY, NOT BECAUSE YOU HAD MONEY, DRUGS, BEER, OR SOMETHING THEY WANTED.
BUT BECAUSE WE FELT GOOD MAKING NEW FRIENDS, ONE FRIEND RESCUED ME FROM THE HOSPITAL, BOY WAS I FUCKED UP ( YOU HAVE ALL SAW THAT FAMOUS PICTURE ), ANOTHER RIDA GOT ME STONED BE CAUSE THE MORPHINE WORE OFF. I OWE THOSE RIDAZZ MY LIFE, RIDAZZ ARE STILL ALWAYS COMING UP TO ME, AND ASK ME "ARE YOU THAT GUY" OR "WHAT HAPPENED?", AND ARE SOMEWHAT AMAZED AT MY RESPONSE.
I AM VERY UNHAPPY AT THE WAY THINGS HAVE BEEN GOING ON, ALL THE IN-FIGHTING, STEALING, TAGGING, AND ESPECIALLY THIS CONCEPT ABOUT BIKE GANGS.
I HAVE MADE SOME COOL ASS FRIENDS, NO MATTER HOW MUCH OF AN ASS HOLE I CAN BE, OR MY PROPENSITY FOR TAKING A LIFE.
WE ALL COME FROM DIFFERENT LIFE STYLES. AND I HONESTLY CAN SAY I'VE MADE A LOT OF GOOD CHANGES IN MY LIFE, AND I KNOW I HAVE A LOT MORE WORK TO DO, AND TODAY THERE IS ONLY ONE FEAR I HAVE.
AND THAT IS "WHAT KIND OF DRAMA" IS GOING TO HAPPEN TONIGHT, EVERY TIME I GO OUT MY FRONT DOOR, HEADING FOR A RIDE, THIS THOUGHT GOES THROUGH MY MIND.
AND THEN I SMILE, FROM WITHIN BECAUSE I KNOW I'LL SEE SOME FRIENDS.
I'M HOPING THAT I NEVER HAVE TO QUIT COMING TO RIDES. I LOVE RIDING MY BIKES, I LOVE SEEING SMILES ON ANOTHER RIDAZ FACE, BUT I DON'T LIKE HEADING HOME ALONE, AND RUNNING INTO SOMEONE THAT DID THE RIDE ALSO, AND COMPLAIN TO ME ABOUT HOW THEY WAS "DROPPED".
AND THAT IS WHY I STARTED THIS THREAD.
P.S. IT TOOK ME MANY DAYZ TO FINALLY EXPLAIN MY QUESTION. I REALLY HOPE THIS MAKES CENTS TO SOMEBODY.

Perhaps if the competitive edge was "left behind" and emphasis was placed on just coasting along, then there wouldn't be this sort of problem.
But, we're always going to have those chickenshits that want to go fast and rub their junk in everyones face, but will never have the nerve to step up to the actual plate.

On last Friday's RWNN, as we skirted skid row, a kid's tire popped (we all heard it). I slowed down to check if his friends stopped with him, but the end of the group was already passed him, and he was alone.
I turned around, a little disappointed that nobody stopped, and went back to help. Before I even got to the dude, 2 or 3 of his friends appeared as well as Lahhar (sorry for that spelling). Lahhar did the majority of the work, switching out the old tube with his own spare (the kid didn't have one, and he had those deep rims which my short stem spare wouldn't work on). We got the guy going in about 10 minutes. While holding my light on the repair, I got to enjoy an icy beer which Lahhar had in his bag.
1. Always bring your own tools and a spare tube that fits your bike.
2. When you see someone stopping on a ride, make sure they are not alone. Don't wait for someone else to do it for you. Pay it forward.
3. Bring ice cold beer to share with others!!!

And when buying the tube, check to make sure that the right tube is in the right box.
You should've seen how red my face got at the last Barchopzz when my rear blew and the tire in the box marked for Presta/26" was actually Schrader/700x23 or some shit.

Hey , be cool and do whats right .....People that mouth off just want attention and the more you react to them the better they feel. Negative attention disorder.
It makes them feel important when in fact they are not.
