 some chick on an older univega crashed hard onto the curb on the Sunset/Glendale overpass on Halloween. her rear derailleur somehow got jacked around and jerked the chain taught, which jerked her wheel sideways in the drops, which led to a very hard fall on the pavement against the curb. derailleur and its hanger were bent, frame looked shot unless she went the single speed conversion route. we watched it happen in horror, we thought she would have been hurt worse but she was a tough rida. we removed the bent derailleur so the wheel would roll but she was outta action.

Cache stopped to offer assistance but had no tools on him. Good man and talented with a spray tip, that cache.

 I have to taken some dirty falls myself ... lets see.. I got doored ... I somehow had my chain wrap around my pedal and I did a full front flip over the bars .... someone tipped my front wheel and I took a dirty fall on the full moon ride and have a circle imprint of an oury grip on my left side ( a month later) .... But I always got up and biked away ...

 I crashed hard the other day.

Flew over the bars like super man and spun in midair. Landed face up looking at the stars.

Back of my head was the major point of impact.

Helmet saved my brains from spilling all over 2nd street.

Craziest fall I've ever had. Got up totally fine, I actually started to laugh because I was so shocked by it all.


WEAR YOUR HELMET.
