You could make a century ride that spreads throughout the valley.

Next month.
Also, sometime this summer (in case that fits your definition of "near future"), I'm planning to host a nighttime century from the end of the Red Line to the end of the Blue Line via every airport we can manage to pack in to 100-odd miles of riding.
Burbank->Van Nuys->Santa Monica->LAX->Hawthorne->Compton->Long Beach->Santa Ana, or something like that. The Redeye Century? Yeah, that sounds about right.
I'm mostly mentioning this here just to get it out there in public, so that I'll now be somewhat committed to actually
doing it rather than just thinking about it. I'm also thinking about a sequel, which would go from the Gold Line to the Green Line via Ontario, Corona, Fullerton etc., but first things first...

I think you should post a TNS first century ride

The Ridazz periodically put on the Dark Century, an all night 100 mile ride.
Rumor has it one is supposed to happen in April, but it hasn't been posted yet.
I am planning a Dark Century in Orange County for spring or summer.
I will defiantly do the airport century-what a great idea!
Our rides don't require an entry fee.
Personally, I used to do those organized centuries before discovering M.R. I did Palm Springs, Solvang, etc. M.R. centuries are a lot more personable and enjoyable.
