Wind sucks worse than Rain. At least with Rain you can give yourself a 3 second rule ahead of slippery cars and puddles. With wind, for me, it's not just the resistance, the gusts can move me to traffic if i'm riding my bike and the wind is blowing me sideways to traffic or to parked cars.

Agreed...wind sucks...I'd rather climb all day than have to ride into the wind.

sure was windy tonight, and cold too. our 40 mile route tonight got trimmed to 20 and we went straight to a bar.

Finally, something we could both agree on.
Especially when it turns 40 degrees into 20 and sends you into "frost-shock".

No one even showed up for our ride. Even the bar we went to was pretty much deserted...

Ah foo. The wind wasn't bad at all tonight. 29 miles in East L.A. with very little wind. Much less than earlier today.

When its exactly at my back I feel like fucking superman.
Going 25 is a breeze ... literally. Yey for tailwinds!
unfortunately its usually blowing in 1 the 3 other directions.

I did a training ride yesterday morning for the Dark Century.
43 miles and 3 big climbs, but the worst part was the 13 miles into the wind at the beginning.
I was wiped out the rest of the day.
It's great Resistance training, but frustrating nonetheless.

other than the resistance the only problem i have is debris or dust in your eyes.

My commute home last night from El Segundo to Hancock Park took 45 extra minutes due to the insane winds. Somehow, it ended up being a headwind the whole way home even when I got onto the Ballona Creek path and started heading east.

I hate that...and if anyone has asthma like I do (I think there are a few on here) head winds just suck the life out of me. On the MS160 I had to stop and catch a ride the last 20 miles...I was coughing dirt for days...
