Hey All,
Per the suggestion of one of my riding pals, I'm posting on this forum as well.
Yesterday (12/14), some time between 1:30 and 6:30 p.m., my trusty Surly Cross Check was stolen from where it was locked outside my office at UCLA.
Specs are as follows:
50 cm Surly CrossCheck f/f - green bean paint
9sp Shimano 105 Shifters, f/r derailleur
Generic Dimension crankset with Salsa chainrings 36/48
Salsa Bell-Lap bar - black bar tape
Salsa Steel Stem
Salsa Shaft seatpost
Chris King headset (black)
Planet Bike fenders
Old Man Mountain Red Rock rear rack
SSM Rolls Saddle
Salsa Delgado Cross Rims
Shimano 105 front hub
Shimano XT rear hub
Time ATAC pedals
Specialized Armadillo tires
Sigma computer
Some sort of front blinky light
That bike has been raced, ridden across England, commuted on, and generally ridden and abused for 8 years. I'll be sad if I don't get it back.
If you see somebody riding it, and it's not me, can you please smack 'em upside the head and return my bike to me? Gracias.

thanks for help, guys and gals.
The bike was, I thought, pretty securely locked. The thief used what I would guess to be a big ass bolt cutter, and cut the u-lock in half.
My 'cross bike, which has now been commissioned into commuter status, will reside in my office from here on out.
