I wouldn't describe it as that. It's like email, chat, and wiki all in one. It can replace wikis and forums, which are essentially collaboration/sharing applications, and it combines email with a live-real-time chat-like thing...

I think it's pretty rad, I'm already organizing a few things on it, and doing some writing on it.

Google Wave is the future of email/chat/text/forums/blogs/etc. Its still in beta stage, so tons of bugs and features are still not operational.

Go to the link, watch the video if u like, its long but if your interested in new technology, it'll be fun to watch. Then request an invitation to try it out. GL!
