man there's something in the air..... just got back from the bike shop and not one but three cars tried to do something to me and my friend.
1st car; cuts me and my friend off hits on the brakes, my friend almost goes trough his back windshield. then the fucker gets out his car and pulls a machete out and waves it around. then gets in his car and burns rubber once he sees my friend reaching for his phone to take a pic and call the cops. (venice and normandie) eastbound.
2nd car; the passenger threw a water bottle and almost decked me on the head. then the bitch starts screaming "get of the road" (pico and hoover)
3rd car: a fucking ambulance gets on the loud speaker and starts to tell me and my friend "get one the sidewalk, the road is for vehicles only" then the bitch hit the gas and forced me and my friend to take the side walk. (pico and western)

For that first incident I would strongly advise filing apolice report even if you don't have a license number, we need to report that kind of shit or people won't take the matter seriously. A machete, wtf!

Rode around Hollywood on my lunch break to get some food and made it back to work safely and without getting harassed... hope my ride home will be the same

Yeah, it's called a historic recession.
1 in 9 homes in America is currently unoccupied, and more than 10% of Californians are out of work.
Everybody is short of cash and way stressed out, and this is causing an increase in crime and hostility, and people moving at 10-20mph on 20-35lb vehicles are an easy target.
Be extra patient while you're riding, and make sure to pack a U-lock and a camera.
