Riverside is too far South to be a "central" area for the Inland Empire.
On one of the threads awhile back, I questioned how Riverside should be even part of the IE.
After onelessfixie championed that it was, then yes, it is IE.
But, if Riverside was to be considered the Central-city for IE ridazz activity, then all ridazz residing along the Foothills and the industrial areas would all have to flock to the Southeast, as opposed to LA, where the Westside, Eastside, Southside, and Valley could easily converge from all sides to a center.
I dunno about everyone else, but Rancho seems to be a more suitable, centralized location to fire off any IE-related MR rides.
Works pretty well with IECM anyway.

riverside is a good spot, its our downtown area.
i started rides in corona/norco and they are a good time, too bad cycledelics are too lame to come out

I just never really have any particular reasons to be found down in that area.
But, then again, I shouldn't really be saying any of this since I live in the Victor Valley and spend 60-70% of my riding time on the Western Front.

industry and the heights are close by but we are still LA. just the east-end of the 626.
riverside is quite far if you are coming from pomona. hence we gots the weekly coffee wednesday ride east-end style.

There's really no "drama" I could start with any of the High Desert cities.
They would all just call the cops and then "drop" you after you done sprinkled them with glitter.
Riverside, I just haven't gone down there much as said earlier.
It's closer than the Westside, but I just feel the 951 is lacking the "fire" that the 310 has engulfed me in since July of '07, in the 702.
And on another note, San Diego just lost a few, extra points for its North County stealing our beloved, 760.
Now they force us at gunpoint to become 442, wealthy, pompous, dickheads!!!

Pomona is not technically IE. It's still LA county. Rancho is seriously like the EDGE of the IE. Many maps of the IE don't even include it.

You just can't compare the IE to LA. Its way too spread out. the IE is HUGE. HUGE!! I mean San Bernardino county is the biggest county in the whole freaking United States
Plus, having rides out there is already 100x more difficult b/c that area lacks the bicycle culture that LA has simply because a car is necessary out there and everyone uses lifted trucks to take their dirtbikes to glamis anyways.
Speaking from experience, most people out there play in the dirt, Riverside and Redlands/Yucaipa have the biggest population of roadies.

I'm already aware of those facts.
But, San Bernardino County's population is mainly cornered in the Southwestern portion, the rest is just pretty much, open desert once you get past Barstow.
Riverside County itself though, has all of its population evenly spread out along the 10.
Riverside--->Palm Springs--->Blythe.
As for those pussy-ass, dirt-bikers, why not just dual-sport and ride down to the dunes?
I see no real reason to have military-hauling capacity to get one toy down to the OFV-park all because you're too chickenshit to go two-wheels on the freeway!!!
As for the roadies, as long as they're approachable and don't act like they're in a training session at all hours of the day, cool.
If not, I'll leave you and the rest of lycra-legion to your Circle-Jerk.

I agree, those fucking "Bros" don't need those huge trucks, but it is illegal to ride dirtbikes on the street. They'd have to hang lights and license plates on their bikes and stuff and for the riding most do out there (jumping, etc) that would not be plausible.
My dad i has a dual sport like you're talking about and he does just that, rides street to find good dirt roads to ride. My dad is bad fucking ass. ANYways...
yeah most of the roadies out there are pretty serious. Growing up on mtn bikes, my father and I used to always bag on roadies, they were just weird to us. lol. A lot of them seemed to have attitudes, ya know. but I know a roadie who owns a shop right near UCR (ANTHONY'S CYCLERY..GO THERE) who's cool as fuck, it really depends on the person.
All this talk about Riverside..it's making me homesick! lol
