on jan. 5 2010 my friends black Bianci 12 speed road was stolen from outside cabo cantiana on washington blvd round 9:30. a block from the beach in Venice. the bike is mainly black except for red tires, grips and labeling. the size of the frame is like a 52. their are many stickers on the bike rouge status, wknd takes a break, comming soon etc... this bike was taken from a true commuter and we fell as if this crime should be avenged. please keep an open eye for your fellow cyclist. contact us at:

I have a heavy U lock, which is often a pain to carry when I ride, but I always carry it and so far still have my bike.
I hope we can help finding this one.

you'd think a "true commuter" would be smart enough to use a decent lock.

Why are cable locks still even sold anyways?
If anything, they should just be marketed as cheap alternatives to bullwhips.

"Why are cable locks still even sold anyways?"
because people still buy them.

Here's a simple rule of thumb:
As long as your lock costs more than your bike, it will never get stolen.

as long as you spend about 40 bucks in a couple u locks, a buck or two in a few ball bearings and super glue, ur shit is usually safe.

It's all about the kryptonite fuhgeddaboudit chain lock. Keeps your bike safe and is a hell of a melee weapon.

I would check around Venice and Mevin this weekend, lots of stolen bikes get sold there on weekends
