I can lead the ride if we ride EARLY and take only one stop and finish early.
Otherwise someone else can take it this week, or there won't be a ride. I'll be there, ready to depart at 7:30pm. I know it's really early but I want to finish early so I can get on with my evening. Biking is part of my life but it's not the whole thing, so. I'll post up for an early ride.

Check the ride posting and check back here for updates. I'm still planning on doing the ride, but it will be a Get On With It type of ride. Friendly, hopefully fun, but no nonsense, because I have somewhere to be later tonight. Future TNS rides will be more traditional (longer, more easy-going).
Anyway, come ride with me, for an hour or an hour and a half or something at least, I don't want to be lonely... :'(

TNS happened two weeks in a row! WTF!! Four people showed up last week, five people showed up this week. Thanks to those who came out. Ride was a little short, but awesome. My fat turd thunder thighs got dropped on my own route like four times but that's okay, I will be there next week to get dropped again.

7:30 Is to early for me.In the old days of TNS they didn't have a curfew so being out pass 10 o clock wasn't a problem.Maybe if you guys start riding later we might see each other out there I try to get about 20 miles every other night

In the old days of TNS, people didn't mind farting around until 11 or midnight. I don't have 4 hours to blow on a 20 mile ride, I want it to be a social event but I have a life out of the saddle, too.
No one else has been stepping up to keep this ride alive, so I'm running it when I can. I figured anything was better than nothing. If someone else wants to pick it up and run it at a "better" time, go for it. So far I have:
- 1 request to start earlier
- 1 request to start later
- 0 other people offering to organize the ride

I heard some people were there but left before the ride started. Why'd you leave?! I showed up at 8pm, ready to go, as advertised. (We ended up leaving a bit late, 8:15 because someone's wheel fell off... literally.)
7 people came out last night. Awesome!
We ate tacos, quesadillas, I think even a burrito. Awesome!
We rode medium-ish speeds for a while. Awesome!!
Things are getting really stupid at work with overtime so I may not be able to lead next week. I will post up again to update on the status of the ride.
As of right now, I am expecting to lead next week for fun, fun times. Might start a bit later than usual.

Did almost 30 miles last night. Visited places we weren't supposed to and got yelled at by some bitch. We told her we would leave, then we didn't. Then after that we did. Had bananas and apples as a healthy snack. Got two flats and one broken shifter. You wish you were there. Or do you?

As far as I know the ride is ON tonight! Won't be as long or fast as last week (I'm borrowing MTB so it'll be a bit shorter). The Alphabet Soup ride is going to be postponed due to secret Black Box Administrative reasons.

This is where we went. It was more fun than I thought, plus we had the biggest turn out so far this year.
Prize went to Jeshii. Good game everybody, we'll try to do this again later in the summer, might even do a weekend version more people can make it to.
Also gonna work on streamlining the process so there's more riding, less stopping.

It was fun. Not an every week sort of thing. I was totally thinking we should do more of these event type rides tho. I have an idea for a nice crazy one, but it would take tons of planning and non-riding volunteers... so maybe not.
And shit, good crowd!!! Hope to see ya'll next week. We need some flyers or shit. How many people did we ride by during the ride???

One reason why some people dont come is because the ride leader makes the ride sound like its all about him and not the group.TNS was always fun because it was a group ride a group thing a group decisions

I'm sorry you feel that way, but I would recommend you come out and see if you like the ride anyway. I do "lead" a group-decision no-rider-left-behind event that I try to make open and fun for everyone, and that is the bottom line. I can't please everyone, but I try to please the majority. The emphasis is to have fun and make friends.
If it sounds like it's all about me, it's because my job and family obligations limit my free time to organize a ride, and no one else wants to organize so it simply has to happen when I have time to set it up. The job and family come first, I think you must be able to understand this or you would be able to come out earlier yourself.
This is an inclusive, friendly ride. Go back and read my ride postings. A quick browse reveals themes such as copious regrouping, easy-going attitude, ride-at-your-own-pace, etc.

Unfortunately I have to call in sick this week.
For one thing I'm sick... I normally would ride even if it's wet or rainy, but not when I'm sick.
I also have to work late tonight. It is what it is.
If you guys want to ride tonight, that's awesome. If anyone can take over for tonight in my absence, please do. If you let me know in time I can change the ride posting, but for now I'm posting up that there is no ride until next week.

In more happy news, I have an idea for next week's ride. I accidentally invited the Nacho truck to Reseda for next week. We should all find our favorite food trucks and invite them to random ass parts of the the west valley and then our route will be to any of them that actually show up.

I will double-post this to the ride posting as well...
My legs are obliterated from soccer last night!! I will be out there to welcome anyone who wants to ride but I will be really slow and weak so you will be faster than me, which is of course fine.
I am not going to include the hill I was talking about this week because I am so wrecked... planning a flatter route. If anyone else has a route they want to ride I will follow. Otherwise I'll have something in mind.
