Any ridazz from Atlanta? Anyone know if there's any kind of riding scene there? I'm moving there this fall. OK city? Gonna live near Emory U.

that's a typical LA attitude though. How many incidents do you see where motorists get into an argument with a corker?

Exactly. Whatever, there's a ton of confrontations at every CM ride. I'm just glad to hear there's a CM ride in Atlanta. Big +

Atlanta is AWESOME.
I lived there for 5 years, and if you can deal with the ridiculous summer heat and not being near an ocean, it's a fantastic place to be.
Little 5 Points / East Atlanta are pretty cool.
Stone Mountain is a pretty great place for hiking, and the laser show isn't bad either.
Everybody's Pizza and The Vortex are awesome for pizza / burgers respectively (Everybody's has a place across the street from the Emory campus).
The Big Chicken up in Marietta is a tourist trap not to be missed.
Sweet Tea is pretty much the national drink of the South. It's iced tea, but brewed extra strong and then overly sweetened. It's delicious.
It's just as car-centric as L.A., and people drive much faster, so be careful on your bike.
Atlanta's pretty much THE big city in the South, so it's a fun blend of southern hospitality and modernity. (Developers claim that Gen. Sherman torched all the old architecture on his march to the sea, so just about everything is pretty new.)
Have fun!

Spent a week there back in '06 while getting a B-service, rode from Decatur to downtown and all around it.
Essentially like everyone else said, it's just like LA, but with a bit of a demographic shift.

...and the obligatory "they've got
bike polo!" post from me. And they're playing spot is right by the university. Seriously, these kids'll know what's going on with bikes in the city fer sure. Check 'em out!
