any serious riders on this site?

Fixed rides have been great, don't get me wrong I love to get drunk and ride around LA and cut off cars, but biking is more than just a social hobby for me now. Now I'm looking for those riders who are getting serious and now have made the switch to road bikes and are ready to fuckin charge or if you think you can still hang on the fixed thats fine, but im looking to climb and climb fast. I'm looking to find a small serious group of riders interested in training for serious races.. I just moved to venice and so far have only been able to find fixed groups more interested in tricks than riding... any one interested?

Wolfpack has always had its share of fixed ridazz.
It is more challenging fixed, but i also think its more fun.

i'd recommend gears for your first ROOT Run and Wolfpack. They can be challenging.

This is exactly what happened to me... Riding around getting drunk was fun for a while but I felt like I was riding more AND getting fatter!
So, I started BICYKILLERS since Wolfpack and Cubcamp were too far for me with work the next morning and all...
CubCamp is in your area and they'll push you hard and make you laugh even harder!
Good luck!

@smazz
depending on how serious you are, there is also the local Donut ride on saturdays
SATURDAY : DONUT RIDE
Summary: 35 miles, very fast counter-clockwise loop around Palos Verdes Peninsula with difficult climbs.
Difficulty: Hard
Time: 7:05 AM Ballona Creek Bridge, Playa del Rey
Time: 8:00 AM
Place: STARBUCKS, 1749 S Elena Ave, Redondo Beach, CA [Route Map]
Description: Started in the early 1970s, this ride begins at the location where a donut shop used to be.
It is recommended that you bring pump/CO2 cartridges, patch kit, spare tube(s) and water bottles.
i still prefer the montrose ride and make that trip out every saturday though this is technically tons closer. There are two different start points as noted, be prepared to catch the ride as they roll by

You should check out La Grange, especially since you live in Venice. You'd be officially leaving the sanctity of Midnight Ridazz....it's a full-on roadie spandex group but the fast rides might be what you're looking for.
It's a bit pretentious (it's a Velo Club!), folks aren't really there to make friends, but they're there to mash hard on road bikes. You can't socialize when you're doing 30 mph, inches behind someone's wheel in a pack of 60 riders. You just focus on riding safely in the group, not effing yourself up or others.
I did it for a while when I first moved out here but I couldn't handle the 6:30 AM starts and I quickly lost the motivation to keep it up. But it was good during my roadie phase to get really fit. The best rides are Tuesday and Thursday and Sunday/Nichols cyn.

Cubcamp is definitely worth checking out, but it's been off and on lately and if you're fit on a geared bike it might seem kinda slow, or you'll have to wait around for noobs on fixies with crappy lights to catch up.

better get yourself some spandex. you can't be serious unless you wear spandex.

Smazz come to root run tomorrow night, we are a small but close group and these days we are one hundred percent focused on our road riding. We are always looking for new people to teach and bring up to our level. Our route is probably going to be from santa monica to Hollywood to manhattan beach and back (40 miles).
Add me on facebook "Wylie Dulmage" and i'll send you and invite to our group and the even tomorrow night.
Root Run is every wed at 8 at Montana and Ocean in santa monica. And we don't really post it on MR anymore because none of us really go on this site these days.
