At the Olive on Sunset, site of so many crimes...

“We called Arciga and asked him if he had bikes for sale,” said Lt. Paul Vernon, who heads up the Central Detective Division. They met him at a motel at Olive Motel on Sunset Boulevard where he pulled a bicycle out of his Mercedes Benz’s trunk to show them a potential bike for sale. As he was being arrested, an accomplice opened up one of the motel's room door, exposing bolt cutters and more bikes.

Do you think that is the Mercedes that belonged to the people involved when fellow ridazz were attacked and attempted to rob them about over a year ago?

Yes. I also remember hearing about a Mercedes in a couple of other theft incidences.

This is an interesting comparison of the effort they put into an investigation on bike theft, compared to the amount invested into catching hit-and-run drivers who kill people.
These were bad men and I'm glad they'll be put away for (probably only a little) while, but I kinda wish those resources had been distributed differently. I'd rather have my bike stolen than have my fellow ridazz continue to be without recourse when they're taken down on the street.
I'll get the hang of this New Year's resolution soon, I promise...

Oh snap, if they were attacking cyclists in real time, that is another story. Previous comment null and void.

Can you give it rest brother?I'm tired of coming on this site and seeing the negative snarks. Reward the positives if you want to see more of it. Cops check this site out and I've personally met with them to discuss shit like this, the tackling, the hit and runs. We're trying to get them on our side and it doesn't help to see shit talking at every fuckin turn. Give em a chance. Save your criticism for when there is a real problem.

I wont rest until the LAPD reveals who killed Biggie Smalls, until then I remain critical.
Anyhow, another positive (except to the victims)....
since rarely are bicycles registered. The LAPD will most likely auction all those bike to the highest bidder.
If lucky, someone at BK should contact the LAPD about donating the bikes (seriously). They'll claim they need to keep them for x amount of time, but if they dont want to bother selling/auctioning them... try to scoop them up.
